A student can ask for one of these certificates every time a student ends one of the six levels of ABA English. In order to pass a level, the student must score from 40 to 80 percent, depending on the starting level of the student. These are the six certificates:

• ABA – BEGINNERS - This certificate is rewarded when you have successfully ended the studies of the Beginner level. In this level there is a vocabulary of 1,224 words.
• ABA – LOWER INTERMEDIATE - Means that you have acquired the Lower Intermediate level, which is considered to be the “survival” level, in an English speaking country. In this level there is a vocabulary of 1,843 words.
• ABA – INTERMEDIATE - Means that you have acquired the Intermediate level of english, in which you’ve already learned to use the present, the past and the future, you know the auxiliary verbs and the modals. Furthermore, you can speak easily as you have acquired a vocabulary of 2,485 words.
• ABA – UPPER INTERMEDIATE - Means that you have acquired the Upper Intermediate level, in which you have mastered the verbs in the past and modal verbs. You can have any kind of conversation, and your vocabulary is rich with 3,060 words.
• ABA – ADVANCED - Means that you have acquired an Advanced level, in which you know all the verb tenses, including the conditional, the gerund and all the perfect and continuing verbs. You also have a vocabulary of 3,593 words.
• ABA – BUSINESS - Means that you have improved your Advanced level, learning the “Reported speech” and the “Phrasal verbs”. This level is called Business, because even though it is not a course of business strictly speaking, the 24 situations deal with business, marketing, budgets, funds, stocks, interests, economics, the European context within the European Union etc. At the end of this level, your vocabulary is composed of 4,532 words.
