The Course is Loading Too Slowly

On some occasions, the loading speed of the course is affected by antivirus software and/or downloading software. In these cases, the following steps are recommended.
  1. Temporarily disable the antivirus software and try loading the course again.
  2. Check the connection of the course without having any download software open.
On other occasions, the type of Internet browser may be the cause. If you are using Internet Explorer as your main Internet browser, it is recommended that you use Mozilla Firefox with which to open the course. If you do not have Mozilla Firefox installed you may download it for free at http://www.mozilla-europe.org.

Sometimes the loading of the course is affected by the need to activate cookies or erasing the caché memory of your computer. The following steps explain how to resolve both issues.
  1. Activate Cookies:
A cookie is a fragment of information that stores itself on the hard drive from visiting a web page through an Internet browser, upon the request of the web page’s server. To activate cookies, please complete the following steps within the browser you most frequently use.
Most commonly used browsers:
Mozilla Firefox (2.0 most recent version and older versions):
  • Access “Tools” from the menu bar.
  • Select “Options”.
  • Click on the icon “Privacy” that appears on the lefthand panel.
  • Mark the corresponding box to “Enable (or allow) cookies”.
  • Click on “Accept” to save changes.

  1. Netscape 7.1/ Mozilla 5.0:
  2. Select “Preferences” from the “Edit” menu.
  3. Click on the arrow that appears next to “Privacy and Security” in the drop-down menu in order to enlarge it.
  4. In “Privacy and Security” click on “Cookies”.
  5. Select “Enable all cookies”.
  6. Click on “Accept”.

  1. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0/ 7.0:
  2. Open “Tools” from the menu bar and select “Internet Options”.
  3. Click on the tab “Privacy”.
  4. Click on the botton “Preselected” (or manually slide the bar toward the bottom to “Media”) in “Configuration”.
  5. Click on “Accept”.

  1. How to Erase the Caché:
To erase the caché in your computer please complete the following steps within your web browser.
Internet Explorer:
  1. Close all of the open browser windows.
  2. Click on “Tools” from the menu bar at the top of the web browser and select “Internet Options”.
  3. Click on the tab “General” found at the top part of the pop-up square.
  4. Click on “Delete archives” in “Temporary Internet Archives”.
  5. Select “Eliminate all content without connection”, marking the corresponding box.
  6. Click on “Accept”.

  1. Mozilla Firefox:
  2. Close all open windows of your browser.
  3. Click on “Tools” in the menu bar found at the top of the web browser and select “Preferences”.
  4. Click on “Privacy”.
  5. Click on “Clean” next to “Caché”.
  6. Click on “Accept”.

  1. Netscape:
  2. Close all of the browser windows.
  3. Click on “Edit” from the menu bar found at the top of the web browser and select “Preferences”.
  4. Click on the ‘+’ sign that appears next to “Advanced”
  5. Select “Caché” in “Advanced”.
  6. Click on “Erase caché”.
  7. Click on “Accept”.

  1. Safari:
  2. Close all of the browser windows.
  3. Open the menu “Safari” from the tool bar at the top of browser.
  4. Select “Empty Caché”.
  5. Click on “Empty” in the dialog box..

In some cases, it is possible that you may have to empty the cache more than once.
