Example with Go along with

  • I never agree with John, but in this case I go along with him. (I never agree with John, but in this case I agree with him).

Example with Go back

  • Christine will never go back to that restaurant. She had a bad experience. (Christine will never return to that restaurant. She had a bad experience).

Sentence with Go by

  • Time went by too fast! I couldn’t complete the test. (Time went very fast! I couldn’t complete the test).

Example with Go about

  • When I visit a new city, I usually go about the whole city. (When I visit a new city, I usually roam the whole city).

Sentence with Go after

  • You must go after him stealthily, otherwise he could realize it. (You must chase him stealthily because he could notice).

Sentences with Go on

  • The ancient women went on about their childhood the whole morning. (The elderly women kept talking about their childhood all morning). 
  • And the letter went on for 17 more pages. Front and back. (The letter continued for 17 pages. Front and back)

Example with Go over

  • Could you go over my article? I’m not sure whether it has any mistakes. (Could you review my article? I’m not sure if it has any mistakes).
