English phonetics studies the sounds of the language and explains how we should produce them. For this, it uses an alphabet that contains various symbols referring to the pronunciation of sounds.

In this case, the t sound in English is generally transcribed and pronounced as /t/. When is the T pronounced like in Spanish?

Sometimes the t in English is pronounced similarly to how we pronounce it in Spanish, and other times it is completely different.

If the t is between a vowel and a consonant or the other way around, it will be pronounced as in Spanish.

To improve the pronunciation of any letter in English, there are different techniques, but one of the best is listening. Here is a list of options you can choose to make these listenings more fun.

1. Series:

Try watching series you have already seen in Spanish in the original version. For example, sitcoms are a good option because they use common vocabulary that we can understand more easily.
