THE LIVERPOOL ACCENT
The scouse or Liverpool English is a combination of the variety of British English spoken locally with the English from Ireland brought by the migrations of 1840 during the Great Irish Famine. This is one of the easiest accents to recognize in English, but not the easiest to understand. With a very particular intonation and some expressions and words with meanings different from the original, this accent can be fun to learn, as well as very useful when doing business or traveling.
